Kellie was one the best "American Idols" Even though she was not a finalist. Kellie Pickler was born on the 28th of June, 1986 at Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. Her mother was barely 16 when she got expecting her. It was a difficult childhood for Pickler as her father battled with addiction to alcohol and substances while her mother left her as she was just two. Morton gained the custody of Pickler for two years. However, Pickler acknowledged that not everything was going well. "I was in the kitchen with my mother and told her that I prefer not to die instead of staying here.' She got a knife, set it on the counter, then told me"Here's how to do it now.' It was fourth grade. I was in fourth grade "Of of course, I wouldn't do anything about it. But it has been a long time since I've had emotional wounds." Court eventually gave Pickler to her grandparents when she was 12 and Morton didn't show at the session. Pickler was raised by her grandparents throughout her life. She has cited their influence as the main factor on her life. In the month of January, 2002, her grandmother Faye Pickler passed away from lung cancer. Pickler was raised by her grandfather. Pickler graduated from North Stanly High School which is located in New London, North Carolina.
